Serbian Language and Culture Workshop's contest for

30 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SUMMER SCHOOL OF SERBIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE
July 17th – August 6th, 2010 in Valjevo, Serbia and Montenegro

Who can apply for scholarship?
University students of Serbian or other Slavic language/ literature/ culture on BA, MA and PhD studies are allowed to participate.

Scholarship details
Scholarship is given for attending the program of the Summer School of Serbian Language and Culture from July 17th to August 6th 2010. The program includes:

  1. 75 Serbian classes;
  2. 60 culture classes;
  3. Summer School materials;
  4. Double room home-stay with a Serbian family;
  5. 3 excursions;
  6. Free Internet access.
The Workshop Scholarship Fund covers 50% of the Summer School fee (300 Euro). The students are responsible for the remaining 50% (300 Euro), which are paid on arrival in Valjevo, on July 17th, 2010.

Documents
Students interested in the scholarship should send the following to the Workshop's postal address by May 15th 2010:

  1. A completed application form, can be downloaded here;
  2. A letter of recommendation from a professor of Serbian or other Slavic language/ literature/ culture;
  3. A motivation letter written in Serbian or in students' native language.

Admission
After the arrival of the documents (by May 15th 2010) the Workshop will send the invitation letters to the winners' postal and e-mail addresses.

Conditions
Students should not miss more than 7 classes of language and 6 classes of culture, otherwise their scholarship and participation in the Summer School will be interrupted.
